Anyone using StreamDeck+XL?

I’m thinking of changing my SD+ for a SD+XL.

I would like to ask if somebody has the new model:

  • what do you think of the device? Is it working the same than the Stream Deck+?
  • is the midi plugin running as expected?

I have an SD + XL. I haven’t had much time experimenting with it, but from what I can tell, it works just like SD+. I would have been surprised if the plugin hadn’t worked on it, since the plugin is not aware of how the device is constructed.

Thanks for the feedback!

I have been watching some videos and it seems that the buttons of the SD+XL are smaller than the SD+.

Could you please tell me what are the dimensions of one button in the SD+XL? I can’t find this information anywhere.

The buttons are, in fact, a bit smaller than the SD+; I hadn’t noticed that. The buttons on the SD+XL are exactly the same size as on an ordinary XL. It’s a bit hard to measure, but it’s like 16.5 mm on the SD+XL and 19.5 mm on the SD+.

Thanks a lot for the info and the picture, Gunnar.

I’m confused with the measurements of the two devices.

According to the elgato website, the width of the SD+ is 138 mm and the width of the SD+XL is 147 mm.

Two dials on the SD+ take up about 44 mm., so I assumed that the dials are also smaller on the SD+XL, or the dials were closer together.

But in your picture it seems that dials have the same dimensions and distances in between.

Could you confirm for me if the dials are smaller and/or closer together on the SD+XL than on the SD+?

Could you confirm that the following measurements from elgato website are correct?

The size and distance of the dials are exactly the same as on the SD+.

I would say that the SD+XL dimensions are wrong, and it’s a bit ambiguous what “height” and “depth” refer to.

  • The width, from the left side to the right, is 205 mm.
  • The height, measured vertically from the table up to the top part of the device, is 147 mm.
  • The height, measured from the bottom front of the device to the top, is about 180 mm.
  • The depth, being the size of the stand, is 175 mm.
