I made a free Stream Deck icon pack built for exactly what this plugin does best — switching synth / workstation sounds live with Program Change. It’s free (CC-BY-4.0) and now on the Elgato Marketplace.
Music Instruments for Stage Keys
It’s 83 full-colour instrument icons covering the complete General MIDI / XP sound set (128 programs, 16 families) plus modern synth categories (synthesizer, drum kit, drum machine, sampler, arpeggio, mellotron, vocoder), with a GM program-number to icon map so you can line each icon up with the Program Change on your synth.
How it pairs with the plugin: set a key to send the Program Change (+ Bank Select MSB/LSB) of a patch, then set that key’s icon from the pack — the key both shows and selects the sound, one press right on the beat, no menu-diving. The verse key is your Rhodes, the chorus key is your pad, the solo key is your organ. A Cycle Button works great too, stepping through a set of program changes with an icon that tells you the family at a glance.
New in v1.1: every instrument also has an animated “(playing)” variant — use it as the key’s active state so the current sound lights up.
