The first post!

Nice forum!

Glad to post the first post here!

Well done, Gunnar!

I also congratulate you on the opening of the new forum!

I have a suggestion:

I think it would be good if the three plugins (MIDI, Cubase/Nuendo, Dorico) each had their own category, and if there were some predefined tags within these categories, corresponding to the subdivisions in the old forum (Announcements, Discussion, Feature requests, Issues, etc.).

EDIT: I’ve now grasped the structure of this forum and seen that the suggested subdivision of categories has already been implemented, in the form of subcategories.

However, it would be nice if further subdivisions could be introduced for the Dorico and Cubase/Nuelndo plugins as well.

I actually had the same subdivisions for Cubase/Nuendo and Dorico at the start, but removed them. It felt like an unnecessary structure for those plugins.

I see the Cubase/Nuendo plugins as “dead products” because of the changes Steinberg has made to their software. There are very few posts about those plugins, and it doesn’t really matter if a post is a discussion or a bug report; I’m not going to make any changes for those plugins.

And no one is using the Dorico plugin, right?

My personal Dorico profile is based on the profile from sideshowfx.

This profile communicates via key commands, which can be assigned to almost all Dorico commands.

I’ve added a number of buttons to the purchased Dorico profile, using the Dorico plugin for this wherever possible. This has the significant advantage for me that I don’t have to worry about which keyboard shortcuts are still unassigned when setting up new buttons.
